Fun Holiday – International Coffee Day 2018

October 1 is annually celebrated as International Coffee Day. The unofficial holiday celebrates one of the most popular beverages in the world – coffee
International Coffee Day Holidays also help raise awareness about sustainable coffee cultivation practices and fair business practices in the coffee industry. Before 2015, the day was celebrated on different dates in different countries.Coffee is a drink made from seeds or coffee beans. As a drink, people have enjoyed it from around the world for centuries. Historians believe that coffee was first discovered in Ethiopia, but it was widely grown and marketed for the first time by Arabs.
Religious Ceremonies
Initially used for ceremonies and religious rites, it became the favorite drink in most homes in the Middle East, Persia, Africa in the sixteenth century and in Europe and America in the seventeenth century.
An Offense
Despite its popularity today, coffee has its share of criticism in history. Sultan Murad IV of the Ottoman Empire hated coffee so much that he made drinking coffee a crime punishable by death. In England, King Charles II, fearing plots hatched with cups of coffee, ordered all cafes closed.
Many countries celebrate their own version of Coffee Day on different dates during the year. For example, Germany started Tag Des Kaffees in 2006 and celebrates it every year on the first Saturday in September.
In the United States, National Coffee Day is celebrated on 29 September.
The party has unknown origins and is sometimes known as the Coffee Day.
